Thank you for visiting this site and sharing your information and opinion with us. Our goal is to encourage and influence a change in the Oregon Statute of Ultimate Repose for the filing of medical negligence claims (ORS 12.110) from 5 (five) years to 10 (ten) years.

This past year, I attempted to make this change in the law myself and, when the original bill was amended in committee to respond to the opposition of medical insurance lobbyists, it was ultimately defeated because it was narrow in scope and did not benefit All Oregonians.

Supportive Legislators have encouraged me to reintroduce the original bill (Senate Bill 233, here attached) with the goal of passing in it in the upcoming 2026 Special Session, with your help!

I am reaching out and connecting with other Oregonians who have confronted the barrier of the five year SOUR in preventing you, like me, from seeking access to our right to recourse when we believe we have been harmed by medical healthcare provider’s negligence.

By gathering our stories and experiences together to bring our numbers and challenges to the Oregon Legislature asking them to change the five year statute to a ten year SOUR and be in parity with the other negligence related laws which include product liability, legal malpractice and construction negligence.

Thank you for joining together with me to make this nonpartisan change in the law to benefit ALL OREGONIANS ! If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at: [email protected]
